I’m all for desserts without consuming the calories…which is why I love TheNecessiTeas (a dessert tea company) so much! But now, I can have my lemon & chocolate pie in the shower, and rub decadent banana scented cream all over my body without putting on a single pound because of Norma’s Bath and Body. Talk about getting “into” your food!
Norma’s Bath and Body soaps look so edible that you will want to eat them! The scents are scrumptious! When I opened the package I received from her, the cucumber melon mist fragrance greeted me and instantly relaxed my senses.
Everything came wrapped with blue ribbon bows. The soaps are so glycerin-enriched that you will feel the silky smoothness on your skin as you unwrap your delicious looking delicacies.
Norma , the owner and creator of her bath bakery goods, even enclosed a handwritten personalized note! I love personal touches that let you know someone created with care and packed your box personally.
Back to the goodies: I admit, I wanted to bite into the lemon- chocolate pie soap before I even got into the shower, and pondered sneaking a lick of the banana body lotion from my finger tips – but I didn’t! However, for the holidays I’m going to tempt my readers by sharing some treats! Read on!
TheLadyinRed’s Shower Adventure:
First I lathered up my washcloth with the lemon side of my slice of “pie”. It was lemony sweet, not too tart, and bubbled up deliciously. Then I tried the flip side, and rubbed what looked like a light coating of cocoa powder crumbs as a pie crust, with a whipped chocolate smooth filling onto my cloth and was pleasantly rewarded with milk-chocolate colored bubbles. The experience brought to mind washing myself with a cup of warm, frothy hot chocolate. As the lather washed off of my skin, it looked exactly like chocolate soup – and I smelled just as yummy!
I got out of the shower and wanted to keep on smelling scrumptious! And realistically, I could have quit at that point and people would have come up to me for the rest of the day wanting to know my secret for smelling like a velvety soft lemon chocolate pie. But! I pushed the envelope and dove right into my jar of banana body lotion luxury.
Look at the lush consistency. It feels like a smooth, cool pudding on your skin and is bursting with banana – dare I say – “flavor”. It could be flavor, as the scent is very convincing to your taste buds that perceive mostly with what your nose senses.
The body lotion is highly moisturizing. A little goes a long way. I always have drier skin on my legs, especially after shaving, and this soothed them and smoothed them. The banana fragrance was extremely complimentary to the leftover lingering of the chocolate-lemon shower I had just finished. I smelled like I just popped out of a bakery instead of the shower!
On days when I break out my boring unscented soap, I have tried the cooling cucumber melon body spray. I misted it all over my skin – from my neck to my toes and in-between. It truly had a calming effect, as I embraced the basic combination of green cucumber and fresh, juicy melon as I inhaled. Usually I wear perfume because I’m afraid that a body mist just won’t last more than a few minutes with a scent that is too delicate to be perceived. This cucumber melon body spray did not mellow out on me, and I was able to pick up on fragrance notes hours later. There was nothing artificially scented about it, either. You know how that is. I’ve had nauseating experiences with what some companies call “vanilla” for example, or there can be a “chemical” after-scent on some of the cheaper body mists, parfums, and candles. Nothing doing here! Norma’s got it down!
What I love about Norma’s Bath and Body products is that they all look and smell like real desserts! They are definitely display worthy! Norma is the force behind every luscious, edible looking soap and scent, created with her own hands, in her Kentucky home! As a professional soap maker, she’s been conjuring up the recipes for these goodies since 2004 because she loves to pamper herself and is on a mission to pamper families all over the country! She sells to the individual consumer as well as takes wholesale orders of $100 or more.
She also offers smaller sudsy options like her lollipop soaps or mini cupcake soaps on a stick that make great party favors, or decorations for weddings, showers, and even stocking stuffers in time for Christmas! Her bubblesome soaps bring the fun back into bath time. I have to tell you – it’s been a long time since I’ve actually looked forward to my next shower, just so I can use these soaps and lotions over and over again! Norma calls her business a “body bakery”. I think it’s fitting.
Just in time for the holidays, TheLadyinRed and Norma’s Bath and Body are giving away a trio of mini cupcake soaps on a stick – two milk chocolaty ones, and one lemon soap, to one lucky reader! And as Norma says, “Someone else thought of you!”…so indulge in the giveaway below! Happy Holidays!
