I love summer. I’m sad to see it go. While some may throw in their beach towels when Labor Day strikes, I’m “that girl” who refuses to pack away her shorts, and who will push the frostbitten limits, by wearing sandals until the first snowflakes fall.
I am blessed in so many ways. I never take a moment for granted. I try to treat the smallest of gestures or occurrences – like a perfectly sunny, warm day with a gentle breeze - the same as I would meeting someone very talented and influential whom I admire. (I would say, winning the lottery, but I haven’t been so lucky!) I also believe that we all were born with gifts; gifts that when we tap into them, become our passion and further ignite our fire for living and inspire us to strive for greater heights while positively affecting those around us.
I have been blessed with the ability to express myself with words and invoke emotion in others. Every time I achieve touching someone’s heart or striking a chord within a soul, it moves me. It’s a surreal experience. There’s nothing I would rather do.
One of my recent blessings is that I am grateful that Tidestore.com has chosen me to walk out and about wearing some of their trendy pieces that blend well into my existing wardrobe. Materialistic yes – but we can’t go out on the town naked!!! So I show, and wear, and go forth with style promulgated by those in the fashion industry that exude the talent for presenting people in a way that reflects society’s edginess and accentuates self-expression!
This is how I wore them: I took my own plain white form-fitting t-shirt from SkinnyTees (because I can’t stand anything baggy) and paired it with the cute denim skirt from Tidestore that’s all swingy. I added my own Michael Kors brown leather bag and my chocolate brown Manolo Blahnik studded sandals. This segued to the animal print scarf that I threw around my neck to break up the solids monotony and play up the traditional can’t-go-wrong classic white t-shirt and jeans look, which I feminized via way of the skirt and form-fitting tee.
So I’m the girl that’s wearing white (t-shirts) after Labor Day who you’ll see defying the shorter days wearing short skirts, but that’s just how I roll!
Oh, and congratulations to Nicole M. for guessing I would get the animal print scarf! She gets a set of TheLadyinRedBlog signature wine charms as I published in my part one blog for some fashion fun! Cheers!
